Why do I see a message from AdBack on the site I am visiting?

Why do I see this message?

The website you're visiting is remunerated by advertising. If you see this message, this is because you have an adblocker (Adblock, Adblock Plus, uBlock, uBlock Origin, Ghostery, etc.) depriving the site of ad revenues. These revenues are essential for the survival of the site. That's why you are asked to support it by choosing one of the solutions proposed.

How to access the website?

To clear the display and access the website, you have two options:

  • Turn off your adblocker. Click on your adblocker icon and turn it off completely or for this site only.
  • Click on the ad in the message. A new window will open. You can close it and come back to the website and the message will close automatically. Then you'll be able to continue visiting the website with your adblocker on.

I don't have an adblocker but I see the message

Make sure you don't have any adblocker. An antivirus or a corporate adblocker can also be the reason of the blocking. 

If you don't have any of the solutions mentioned above, It may be a detection problem from our part. In this case, click on "Report a bug" (see the image below) and the message will close. By clicking on that button, we will receive your browser's settings (anonymous data) that will help us improve our detection method to prevent such errors in the future.

I clicked on the ad and the message still appears.

Clicking on the ad allows you to browse the website during one hour. After that, the message will display again and you will be able to click on the ad to surf one more hour. 

If you clicked and the message reappears on the second page, this may be linked to the consent you gave or not to the website to collect your data

- If you didn't give your consent to the website to collect your data, this is a normal behaviour. We cannot store the data saying that you already clicked on the ad. Thus, the message will appear on every page you visit on that site.

- If you gave your consent to the website to collect your data, clicked on the ad and the message still appears, it may be a detection problem from our part. In this case, click on "Report a bug" (see the image below) and the message will close. By clicking on that button, we will receive your browser's settings (anonymous data) that will help us improve our detection method to prevent such errors in the future.
